How you can help

Contributions to help offset the costs of Dwight’s second heart transplant and other expenses related to his medical care can be made through Samaritan Aviation, a non-profit aviation and medical missions organization based out of Montrose, Colorado. As part of Samaritan Aviation’s ministry, founder and president Gary Bustin has established this fund to assist with Dwight’s medical related expenses.  To make a donation, please go to www.samaritanaviation.com.  Click on the GIVE tab.  Fill in the donation form and in the COMMENTS section, please type DWIGHT DOUGLAS.  This will ensure that your gift will be designated for Dwight’s expenses.  You can also send a check directly to Samaritan Aviation at PO Box 492, Montrose, CO 81401.  Writing DWIGHT DOUGLAS in the check’s memo section will assure that the donations go into Dwight’s fund.  The goal is to raise a minimum of $500,000 to cover Dwight’s transplant related expenses. 

If you would prefer not to give via the internet, but would like to send a gift directly to Dwight, you can send it to PO Box 3283, Olathe, KS 66063.  These funds will be deposited into a designated bank account used for the expenses listed above.  Please note that donations given in this way should be considered personal gifts to Dwight and are not tax deductible. 

If for any reason Dwight does not utilize the full amount given for his personal transplant related expenses, the family will donate the remainder of the funds to the Midwest Heart Institute.

Please pray for Dwight’s healing and for his doctors as they continue to treat him during this time of waiting.
